ISTQB® Certified Tester, Advanced level – Test Manager Training

The ISTQB® Certified Tester is a world wide commonly used standard in the field of Software Testing. Hundreds of experts from more than 40 countries are currently working on that scheme. The program is internationally comparable because of the international set-up. That is almost unique for such a certification program. Thus it is possible to take the same examination in different languages.

The Advanced Level qualification is aimed at people who have achieved an advanced point in their careers in software testing. Based on the Certified Tester Foundation Level you learn in this course how to manage test teams, plan tests correctly, manage documents and their progress.

You will be introduced to different quality models and learn how you improve test processes.

  • Become familiar with the goals and possibilities to improve the test process
  • Understand how to setup effective test teams
  • Learn what are the options used to estimate test effort

Objectives

This course is based on the curriculum of the "ISTQB® Certified Tester, Advanced level for Test Manager". Participants will become familiar with all steps of the test management: 

  • Define the overall testing goals and strategy for the systems being tested
  • Plan, schedule and track the tasks
  • Describe and organize the necessary activities
  • Select, acquire and assign the adequate resources to the tasks
  • Select , organize and lead testing teams
  • Organize the communication between the members of the testing teams, and between the testing teams and all other stakeholders
  • Justify the decisions and provide adequate reporting information where applicable

Advanced Level Test Management professionals have the opportunity to take the ISTQB® Certified Tester, Advanced Level Exam after the training.
